Couple of questions:

Looking for feedback from those running a 255/35-18 on the front on 18x8's? How's the fit? Anyone use an 18x9 et52 rear wheel on the front w/ these on an early 986?

The press kit for the 2011 Spyder lists mentions that lower tire pressures are specified for increased grip & 'damping characteristics' - anyone know what the revised pressures are? Here's the release -> http://www.pca-palooza.com/docs/boxster_spyder_dealer_release.pdf

Thanks,
-tom

This sounds like marketing hype.  Fill to the pressure specified in the manual.  For track or autocross use, do whatever the tire manufacturer lists as the optimal pressure.

I have run 245/40-18 Toyo RA-1s on 9x18ET52 Turbo Looks on the front (car has PSS9's). They fit, but before you reach full lock, the outside front edge of the tire contacts the front inside of the wheelwell liner. Not enough to rip it out, but enough to give it a good rubbing. (If you're turning the wheel that far, you're pushing anyway  Wink ). Going wider and/or a larger diameter will make this worse. Also, beware of larger tire diameters if you're running stock-style front shocks, as the tire will rub up against the bottom of the lower spring perch. The 255/35-18 is 3/4" smaller in diameter than the 245/40-18, so it might work O.K. on a 9" wheel, maybe a little rubbing (8" wheel would be too narrow for this size tire)...
