I am doing about six track days per year. I run Pagid Yellow RS29 pads. My stock rotors have developed little cracks around the cross-drilled holes, so I am looking at slotted rotors. However, I seem to overheat my brakes more than others and boil the brake fluid (Motul RBF600, just had the system pressurized by Porsche and they found no leaks), so maybe the cross-drilled and slotted rotors may be more suitable.
I am looking for your experiences/recommendations. Has anybody used R1 Concepts? http://www.r1concepts.com/ I noticed that they have two different lines of rotors. Any other companies out there?

I'd stick with solid rotors if you can.  The cross drilling removes valuable surface area.  Since modern pads don't "gas out" as older ones apparently did, cross drilling and slotting are mostly for looks.  I understand slotted can help in the wet, but once they're hot, it won't really matter.

As for boiling the Motul, I'd guess you're dragging your brakes.  Longer braking cycles tend to bring more heat than the short quick ones.  There's more time creating heat and less time to dissipate.  This is just a guess, though.  I'm really tough on brakes and have never boiled any of the 600 fluids.  Ate boils in about 3 laps for me, though.   Grin
